YSH: The Package
The homie DJ Eurok from the ever-so dope Upset the Setup blog shot over this mixtape album a couple weeks days ago, and after having listened to it at least 4 times (let’s be honest, most people don’t go through one mixtape completely) and having one of their tracks featured on last month’s DMV mixtape, I’m obliged by my hip-hop license to post this up and demand that everybody that visits this site download their copy this instant.
The Package drops this album that stirs 2 parts forward thinking hip-hop with a dash of nostalgia to create ‘New Golden Era’. Nearly every track on here showcases a different side of their sound (The Drug might be my favorite song to reference Pancho Villa) and the different styles of each of the groups three members, Dimes, Theory & Noyeek. Be on the look out for the music video to “Making Waves” (directed by Hot 97′s Peter Rosenberg) to drop very soon.
The album is a certified instant classic.
