Yup. Same name. Same friends. New everything else.
It’s been in the works for a while now. We’ve got a lot of stuff in store for the upcoming year, and this site isn’t gonna be able to support what we’ve got planned, so we up’d our budget to broke as a joke and moved to a nicer neighborhood. The site’s grown a lot since we started it months ago and we’re gonna keep it moving in to next year. Who knows, we might have a pretty nice Christmas Holiday gift for you in a couple weeks. Thanks for your support on here and join us over at

Party on Garth.

CLARITY:: IF YOU’RE IN LINE WAITING TO VOTE BY THE TIME POLLS CLOSE, YOU’RE STILL ALLOWED TO VOTE. JUST BE IN LINE BEFORE 7!!!
So the voting stations are closing here in VA in about 2.5 hours, and when I went to vote earlier the lines were about an hour long, so I think its safe to say that if you plan on voting, you better get out there ASAP–especially considering you’ll want to be near a computer to hear the live feed of a special edition of the Funkadelic Freestyles radio show tonight featuring some of the artists you’ve seen plastered all over town.

November 4th is shaping up to be an EPIC day. First off, everybody that read this site (that live in the US) better be hitting those voting stations with their ID in hand and excercising their civic responsibilites, no matter who you’re voting for (though we don’t hide who we support). Second off, while the votes are being tallied up, make sure you tune in to GWRADIO as some –not all– of the biggest names in DC, Maryland, Virginia hip-hop get together to discuss politics, hip-hop and a hybrid. Will I be there as well? You know it. Will you?

Rosenberg is no stranger to the DC hip-hop scene. Some of you might not know he spent a couple years DJ’ing sets around the city and on the radio. He recently directed the ever-so dope music video for The Package’ ‘Making Waves’ track. A couple days back him and Oddisee dropped the single featuring Saigon and Lil’ Fame, and today they’ve dropped the full-blown EP titled..well, “A Rosenberg Oddisee”. Simple enough. Even more simple? It was all recorded in one day. Featuring some strong emcees over Oddisee produced beats, this is a must download for any real DMV hip-hop lover, let alone any hip-hop head.

This song is ill. Wale gets on his Three-Stacks type rhyme and delivers some choice rhymes over a beat sampling (remixing??) Duffy’s ‘Warwick Avenue’. Olympics, sex, break-ups, promptness, Indian wife beating; he covers a whole range of references to tell the story of a relationship ending. Like I told Modi earlier, dude is definitely coming in to his own. Off the upcoming Wale x 9th Back to the Feature mixtape. I’m really looking forward to that now.
